Local Feature: Doublethink Prism’s Malakut Golliwog

Doublethink Prism is this week’s RTRFM local feature.

Their second album Malakut Golliwog is out now via Stock Records and has been a labor of love for many years, unpacking Splodge’s identity as a black man growing up in a fiercely white society, looking at the impact of systemic racism in his home country of England and the similar issues faced living in Australia, a country with a complex cultural history.

Perth producer and multi-instrumentalist Steven Alyian and spoken word artist Splodge (Marcus John) joined Taylah Strano for Breakfast to chat about the incredible story behind the record.
