Local Feature: Gap Year deliver a Flat Out stunning debut record

Conjuring up feelings of warm bitumen on a hot WA suburban summer’s arvo are local five piece Gap Year.

Following a string of catchy singles, the quartet hand down their debut full-length record Flat Out.

With tales of Dad’s and their obsessions with the swimming pool, reflections on regional life and everything else in-between, the nine tracks sum up the contemporary indie rock sound we’ve now come to expect from Gap Year.

Dan and Maddy from the band swung by Breakfast with Taylah to celebrate the launch of their album.
