Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery exhibitions highlight Australian Women Artists

Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery is currently hosting two public exhibitions highlighting the contributions of Australian Women Artists, from 31 May – 30 August.

Know My Name: Australian Women Artists, is a National Gallery of Australia touring exhibition that presents audiences the opportunity to explore the work of over 60 of Australia’s most influential women artists. Lines in the Sand: Women from the West focuses on uplifting art from Western Australian women artists specifically.

Lee Kinsella and Brent Harrison, co-Curators of Lines in the Sand, joined Bec Bowman on Artbeat to discuss the new exhibitions, the importance of collaboration in their work, and how they curated Lines in the Sand to be in conversation with Know My Name.

The Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, and admission is free.
