Makaya McCraven blends the past and the present with his latest release In These Times

Chicago-based percussionist, composer, producer Makaya McCraven has released his latest album, In These Times, via boundary pushing jazz label International Anthem.

In These Times is a new collection of compositions from McCraven, who has been heralded by the contemporary music commmunity for his unique gift of collapsing space, destroying borders and blending past, present, and future into progressive arrangements of post-genre, jazz-rooted contemporary instrumental music. The LP encompasses his artistic ethos, his experiences, identity and lineage, while pushing his music to new heights.
