Meanjin’s First Beige are everything but Shallow

Hailing from Meanjin/Brisbane, First Beige seamlessly blends jazzy colours, floaty synth textures and lush pop harmonies over driving rhythms. 

Their infectious live performances blur the boundary of synthetic and organic, weaving extended improvisations with high-energy grooves – a dancefloor dream.

Their latest single Shallow tries industrial-indie on for size, without forsaking danceability they lean into ‘the love thing’ and get a little angsty (in a great way). 

Ahead of the WA leg of their tour, Beige babes David Versace and Cain Robertson caught up with Pam on Brekky to talk new sounds, new musical crushes and WA vs. QLD beaches…
