New exhibition explores art in all its Fantastic Forms

Fantastic Forms is a new exhibition running at the John Curtin Gallery which celebrates human creativity and imagination across a range of artistic mediums. The exhibit features the work of the late Merric Boyd, who is considered Australia’s first studio potter, alongside new artworks created in response to Boyd’s work by multimedia artists Rubyrose Bancroft, Stephen Benwell, and Nabilah Nordin.

The exhibition’s curator, Sophie O’Brien, joined Bec Bowman on Artbeat to discuss the the artists featured in the exhibition and Merric Boyd’s legacy.

Fantastic Forms is running from 3 October to 7 December.
