New project improves queer First Nations mental health outcomes

The issue of mental health is fraught with social and political implications but even more so for queer Blak folk.

But a new research project Walkern Katadjin (or Rainbow Knowledge) aims to promote and understand the mental health and wellbeing of some of our State’s and nations most vulnerable to facilitate more patient centred and culturally safe services.

Presenter Danielle Raffaele was joined by research project members Lulkbudia McLean and Shakara Liddelow-Hunt on this Wednesday’s edition of All Things Queer to discuss how the project works and what it will mean for queer Blak people trying to access these vital support services.

Be sure to catch up with more episodes of All Things Queer here or listen back to the podcast.
