Nika Mo’s New EP Explores The Plight Of Living On Planet Perth

If you’ve ever been stuck at a Beaufort Street bus stop, Annika Moses can relate. So much so, she’s written a song about it. It makes up part of her debut EP Mess Head, exploring the poetic beauty in the Perth mundane and beyond.

Think garage-folk musician, exploring lo-fi textures and crying in Japanese bathtubs. If that wasn’t enough, Annika is also a familiar face and voice to RTRFM, often delivering some of Perth’s more obscure, experimental sounds on Difficult Listening.

Making music under her Nika Mo name, Annika joined Taylah to talk about the tracks, the inspiration and the motivation behind the collection, complete with a live performance of It’s still the same time of day!
