Olivia Davies & Melle Branson

Screenwest and the ABC have given the opportunity for four filmmakers to receive funding of  $10,000 in order to create a 3-8 minute documentary profiling the work of a resident Western Australian artist or arts company, to be then broadcast as part of the ABC’s Art Works series.

One of those documentaries will be ‘Olivia’. In 2021, Olivia Davies was announced as the next Composer In Residence at the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and the first female to hold this position in its almost 100 years.

This short documentary focuses on Olivia’s current project titled ‘Murmuration’ – a choral work that she is composing for WASO’s Chorus.
