Portland Jones – Only Birds Above

Local author Portland Jones is a writer, lecturer and horse trainer who lives and works in the Swan Valley.  Her first novel, Seeing the Elephant, was shortlisted for the City of Fremantle Hungerford Award.

Her second novel is the recently released Only Birds Above, a beautifully written story of families, war, inter-generational trauma and love.

RTRFM’s Danae Gibson chatted with Portland Jones and began by asking if the author had hopes for the novel to be adapted for the screen.
