PREMIERE: Racoo delivers second instalment in sad-girl summer folk trilogy

Getting sad on purpose is the name of the game in the sophomore release from Racoo.

Rachael Hocking aka Racoo returns with nine songs of shimmering  and soulful folk sounds in I Fell Asleep for Half the Day.

Of the record, Hocking says, “I fell asleep for half the day is a series of nine songs that meander through a puzzle of somebody’s existence,”

“Smoking, Lamenting love, ruminating minds, sitting in sadness, and a twenty four hour bottle shop in West Hobart.

“This Album is about getting sad on purpose and divorcing all sentimentality.”

I Fell Asleep for Half the Day is officially out on February 17.
