Ring the Kalbells

Beginning life as a solo side-project of Kalmia Traver from her band Rubblebucket, Kalbells has rapidly become more than that in the nearly four years since the release of her Ten Flowers album.

Putting together a live band to tour, Kalbells new album Max Heart sees the project now as a fully-fledged band, with Traver’s 3 touring bandmates coming into the fold, assisting to create their unique brand of groove-laden danceable art-pop.

RTRFM’s Will Backler caught up with Traver to find out all about the origins of the Kalbells, the evolution of the project, the new record their creative process and what’s next for the group (both together and individually).
