RTRFM’s 45 Greatest WA Songs
On 1 April 1977 the switch was flicked and RTRFM was turned on (known as 6UWA and then 6UVS before finally becoming RTRFM 92.1). In 2022, the station turns 45 and to celebrate we put it out to you, the listeners, to help us countdown the 45 Greatest WA Songs.
More than 2,000 of you responded, and with 17,000+ votes cast, the verdict is in: Wide Open Road by The Triffids is the greatest WA song ever.
