Saving Banksia Woodland

Today On The Record, Fiona Bartholomaeus spoke with Sonya Elek from Friends of Erindale Road Bushland discussing the organisations plan to present 1400 signatures in petition to protect the Banksia Woodland.

The community action group was established in 2020 in response to plans to clear a large portion of the bushland bound by Erindale Road, Reid Highway and Lennox Place, uniting residents all over Western Australia that care and value this ecologically and culturally significant Swan Coastal Plain Banksia Woodland.

The organisation is presenting the petition today (Wednesday 24th November) to the Western Australian Government at Parliament House.
