Saving Our Snake Necked Turtle Project

Chelodina colliei also known as Snake Necked Turtles is currently listed as ‘near threatened’ by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

The City of Bayswater has joined forces with Murdoch University and the South West Metropolitan Alliance to participate in the Saving Our Snake Necked Turtle project.

The project is all about locals getting involved in learning how to track turtles in order to help protect the species from threat.
