Standardised framework for recording injuries in the circus arts

A team of international circus art researchers and sports scientists have developed the first standardised framework for collecting injury rates.

Fiona Bartholomaeus caught up with Dr Joanna Nicholas, Dance and Exercise Scientist, from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

These new guidelines will improve the ability to compare injury patterns and allow data sets across circus studies to be combined.
