Sunny Side Up – Can you really fry an egg on the sidewalk?

Perth residents have sweltered through this year’s summer and though the weather has started to cool down, we can expect a few more hot days.

With warmer days comes the timeless adage “it’s so hot outside you could fry an egg”.

But what does science actually say?
