Tammy Lee FameLab Australia 2025 Finalist

FameLab Australia is a national training program and competition that promotes excellence in science communication for early career STEM researchers and aims to identify, nurture and build the profile of new Australian voices in science.

They have just announced the winners of their semi-finals and Tammy Lee from UWA’s School of Human Sciences won the Western Australia semi-final for her presentation about the viability of embryos with atypical appearances and behaviors.

Tammy is one of 12 finalists who will now compete in The FameLab Australia Final, which will take place at the WA Museum Boola Bardip on Thursday 18 September. Then the Australian FameLab winner will progress to represent Australia in the international FameLab final in November 2025.

Tammy Lee joins On the Record’s Fiona Bartholomaeus in the studio to further discuss the FameLab competition and inspiration around their research.
