TGA approves the use of psychedelics in mental health treatment

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has recently approved the use of psychedelics for the treatment of mental health conditions.

This has made Australia the first country in the world to allow the legal prescription of psychedelics in the treatment of mental health, including psilocybin and MDMA.

Fiona Bartholomaeus spoke with Swinburne University Professor Susan Rossell, who has conducted extensive and ongoing research into psychedelics and mental health for On the Record about the decision.
