The Internet Of Space Things

In our everyday lives, we now have multiple devices connected to the internet (half a dozen connected devices for every person on earth!), including smartphones, fridges, televisions and so on, that form what’s known as the “internet of things.”

The “internet of space things” is the movement that’s being thought of as the next logical expansion of internet-connected machines, which will use the connectivity of space and data collection to easily provide valuable information to earth from orbit.

Professor Alan Duffy from Swinburne’s Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing chats to Jeff Bullen on On The Record about its uses, development and concerns.
