The Kiwirrkurra Band on origins and inspiration

Hailing from the Kiwirrkurra Community, one of the most remote areas in Western Australia, The Kiwirrkurra Band blend desert reggae and rock with lyrics sung in the Indigenous language Pintupi.

Inspired by their deep love for their ngurra (country) in the Western Desert, their songs highlight a message of unity and strength and the band uses their platform to celebrate the power of culture, family, and positive choices.

Amid their run of Boorloo shows Sylvester and David stop by Breakfast with Pam to give us an insight into their Kiwirrkurra Band.
