What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a ‘leader’? Is it a man in a business suit in a confident pose or directing a team of people? Well, you’re probably not alone in thinking that way, considering how positions of power and authority are male-dominated throughout history.

So how are the women leaders among us getting a fighting chance in this field and what role does language play in their ascent to power?
