“The night with eyes and wings” – Ross Bolleter and Eduardo Cossio

On Difficult Listening, Boorloo experimental music legends Ross Bolleter and Eduardo Cossio talk to Michael Terren about their new album, “Glint,” their third album together.
In Part One they discuss the history and practice of “synchronous improvisation,” where two musicians record improvisations at the same time in different locations and discover all sorts of synchronicities when the two recordings are overlaid.
In Part Two they compare “Glint” to their last album “Such and Such,” and the meaning of experimental music in their lives, with Ross musing that it is like “birds that fly at night in their millions.” In conclusion, they reflect on the life and work of internationally renowned Boorloo experimental musician, Alan Lamb, who passed away in late April.
