Tim Voutas’ proves Magic Is Real with his new album

Off the back of his 2019 debut album, Introducing TVQ, local pianist and composer Tim Voutas is releasing Magic is Real — an ambitious follow-up to 2019’s Introducing…

Magic is Real was recorded with Kane Shaw and Bronton Ainsworth and sees Tim draw on his background in classical piano, experience performing the world over and the influence of his peers to tell a story of hardship, discovery and freedom during COVID-19 — spanning swing, country and blues to paint a vivid and energetic picture of life.

Tim joins RTRFM’s Dan Garner on Saturday Jazz to chat about the record and share some forthcoming tracks.
