Using Maths to Understand Social Influences

Social circle interactions and how they impact our decision making has become a major topic over the past year, and now Curtin University is delving further into it with a new study. Lead by Dr Ben Ye from Curtin University and funded by the WA Government, the study will use a mathematical modelling approach to explore social interactions. It’s hoped the research will help us better understand the spread of misinformation, social influences, and public opinion. Dr Ben Ye spoke with Jeff Bullen about the research.
