UWA study finds women less likely to go to work sick

Researchers at The University of Western Australia have found that practices put into place to reduce employees coming to work sick were more likely to be observed by women than men.

Atikah Hurley is joined On The Record with one of the study’s co-authors, Associate Professor Aleksandra Luksyte, to discuss the importance of staying home when sick, the reasons why women make the call to stay home when they are ill, and the effect of COVID-19 on workplace culture.
