WA Women’s Hall of Fame inductee Charmaine Papertalk Green makes the call out

Indigenous Australian poet, Charmaine Papertalk Green began writing poetry in Mullewa in the late 1970’s.

She has written six books, won several awards.

Her most recent book, ‘False Claims of Colonial Thieves‘ published in 2020 was in collaboration with poet, John Kinsella.

In 2023, she was awarded her PhD by Edith Cowan University, through her thesis; Dr Charmaine Papertalk Green explored ways that cultural knowledges can assist to understand pathways to health and social transformation.

In the same year, Dr Charmaine Papertalk Green was inducted to the WA Women’s Hall of Fame for 2023.
