What is a Digital Identity? How Can I Protect It?

Digital identities is quite a broad term as it encompasses a variety of different aspects and incorporates lots of different data.

Our identity is constantly changing with everything we do on the internet, every post we like, and every time we create a new online account.

But like with all things digital there is the risk of private information being leaked, shared or stored without our knowledge.

Bridgette Engeler is a Futurist and Senior Lecturer in Strategic Design, Foresight and Innovation at Swinburne University and she spoke to Fiona Bartholomaeus about what a digital identity is and the potential risks of privacy invasion.
