What record coral cover really says about the health of the Great Barrier Reef

It sounded like excellent news, coral cover in parts of the Great Barrier Reef is at a record high according to recent research by the Australian Institute of Marine Science.

But coral cover findings can be deceptive and show the reef may not be in good health, despite what you may have heard.

Curtin University Senior Research Fellow Zoe Richards joined Taylah Strano for Breakfast to discuss the findings and what they say about the health of the reef.
