Yen Tzu Chang: Media Spaces

In this interview segment, we meet Taiwan-based new media and sound artist Yen Tzu Chang, and follow RTR host Annika Moses through a winding collage of found sounds and dialogue, hearing about her approach towards field recording, and listening to the field recordings themselves.

Yen Tzu Chang is the first visiting artist in the Asia Pacific Exchange Program, hosted by PICA and residency partners, Taipei Artist Village (Taiwan) and Grey Projects (Singapore). Yen’s work combines art, programming and technical media into her artworks, including interdisciplinary art and experimental performances based on sound installations.

This interview took place in the lead up to Yen’s performance lecture based on her residency project, The Anomaly — a projection and sound-based work combining field recordings and images from both Taipei and Boorloo.
