Get to know Cooper

I love sharing my eclectic tastes on the airways! I am always looking for a new genre and a new way of soundtracking all of the intimate emotive moments throughout life. I also love co presenting with my beautiful friend Nicole and love bouncing off each other’s shared tastes in Balearic bangers.

Outside of RTRFM I am an Oil Painter, I like documenting moments within Perths underground community. I also produce music and am interested in how music describes our landscape and culture in Western Australia.

My first experience listening to RTRFM was when i tuned into Full Frequency and heard Rok Rileys sedative voice in between thoughtfully researched and genre spanning sound selections and i was hooked!

How did you become involved in the station?

I started coming in for so many guest mixes on shows that i was like well maybe we should make it official! I bent the knee and asked RTRFM out and we have never looked back!

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

The Good Tidings and Nest FM/Smoked trout day parties at Mojos especially on boxing day create this weird space in Perth. It has a really deep eurotrash after hours vibe, you can get away with playing really deep and curly wurly bangers that you may not be able to land in other spaces. Those parties put our city on the map in a global sense.
