William Bolcom is one of the great American Pulitzer Prize winner contemporary composers, whose compositions encompass many styles, from cabaret to more traditional classical scores.

Constantine Costi is a Greek Australian Director, Writer and Co-Artistic Director tasked with creating a story from William Bolcom’s funny and darkly comedic cabaret pieces not meant to be performed together, to form a narrative.

Bec Bowman chats to Constantine Costi about his show, which weaves a series of William Bolcom’s cabaret songs to create a poignant meditation on life, love, and living in the moment.
