Western Australia’s volunteering spirit

We here at RTRFM are able to run thanks to the many volunteers that act as the voices and hands of our radio station. And that contribution is strongly echoed in the Western Australian volunteering industry.

The Western Australian Government has recently released the State of Volunteering Report, taking a look at the impact volunteering is making in WA. The report found that Australians together have given more than “398 million hours” in volunteered hours, generating a substantial social and economic impact.

Tina Williams of Volunteering WA joined Jeff Bullen to talk about who in WA is volunteering, the support for volunteering, and where this sense of social conscience is coming from.
