A Different Man and Woman of the Hour (Movie Squad Podcast #188)

As Mike Myers once slammed: “Woman. Woah, man.”

It’s kismet on Movie Squad this week as Tristan Fidler and Simon Miraudo join Breakfast presenter Pamela Boland to review two flicks with M-A-N in the title.

First up, Tristan leads a review of A Different Man, starring Sebastian Stan as an actor with neurofibromatosis who undergoes experimental treatment and starts a new life with a new face, only to grow jealous of a more confident and charismatic man (Adam Pearson) with the same condition. It’s now in Australian cinemas.

Then, Simon covers true-crime thriller Woman of the Hour, the directorial debut of Anna Kendrick, who stars as a Dating Game contestant that makes a love connection with real-life serial killer Rodney Alcala. It’s now streaming on Netflix.

Stay tuned for Tristan and Simon’s extended, pod-exclusive chat, where Simon shares his belated thoughts on Smile 2 and Joker: Folie à Deux!
