Elena Dakota

Elena Dakota is an Adelaide born, now Kimberley based producer and singer song-writer who has spent time in both the Adelaide and Perth music scenes. Elena began making laptop music when she first discovered Garage Band in 2012 and released several works under her first alias, Allume. She began playing bass guitar in her twenties, before picking up a guitar in her mid-twenties. Accordingly, her naive-folk songs are marked by a certain lack of musical superfluity. Elena was apart of several Adelaide bands including Introduction!, Hummingbird, The Maraby Band and Rex Wonderful & the Silk Sheets. She also currently makes electronica under her initials, EDN. In 2026, Elena Dakota released two EP’s, New Face and three geese, which have just been released together on Los Angeles cassette label, Cudighi Records. She currently lives in Derby, with her partner Sam, daughter Elsa and dingo-dog Jupiter and cat Crow.
