What to expect
Hey there, friend. It’s us, RTRFM! Throughout May we’re asking you to show your support of the station during Radio Love Month: Friends Forever.
RTRFM 92.1 is a not-for-profit community radio station that is mostly funded by you, our listeners. To put it short, we get by with a little help from our friends. To keep bringing you the radio that we do, we need your help. We are asking you to support as much or as little as you can; to donate to the Sound Alternative and keep us on air. With a friend like you, we can keep bringing you community radio forever!
RTRFM 92.1 has been the home of local WA music, arts and culture for 44 years and we’ve made a whole lot of friends in that time. We strive to promote, foster and grow our local, independent artists, musicians, performers and businesses around Perth. When they succeed, we do too.
We’re your partner on the dial, in the car, at the gig, or when you’re making dinner, streaming online from Woolloomooloo to Timbuktu, sharing the latest in local arts & culture, bringing you the stories you need to hear. We’re a mate that you can count on, a friend down the line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we’re here for you, because of you.
Every donation and subscription helps our community grow and allows us to continue the Sound Alternative for many years to come. We have so much more to share with you.
So, let’s do this together! Let’s be friends forever! If you can, please consider donating during Radio Love Month.
As RTRFM is a registered charity, you can claim a tax deduction on any donation over $2.
We’ve also teamed up with a bunch of local businesses around town to collaborate on some special items that donate money back to the station during Radio Love Month.
- Head to Mary Street Bakery and pick up a special RTRFM donut. For each one sold, Mary Street Bakery will donate $1 back to the station.
- Enjoy an afternoon at Seasonal Brewing Co in Maylands and try out their gose. For each large gose you buy, Seasonal Brewing Co will donate $1 back to RTRFM.
- Local & Aesthetic in Mount Lawley have made a special vegan sandwich for Radio Love Month, so grab one for lunch and they’ll throw RTRFM $1 for each sanga you purchase.
- Dimattina Coffee has created a special coffee blend for RTRFM. Buy a bag of the Blend Alternative and they’ll donate $1 back to the station. Available online from Dimattina Coffee’s website or from their cafe in Osborne Park.
- Miller and Baker will donate $1 back to RTRFM 92.1 for every bag of scrumptious stone-milled pancake mix sold in May.
- Get down to The Moon on William Street in Northbridge and try their special cocktail, ‘It Comes in Waves’, which donates $1 back to the station for each one purchased in May. It’s tropical, fruity, pineappley… yum!
