What to expect
The 2013 RTRFM Quiz night is happening on Saturday 27 July at the Mt Hawthorn Town Hall from 7pm, featuring nine rounds of mind-popping trivia, including questions from popular programs Movie Squad, DVD on the Radio and Artbeat, plus live music rounds from a local super group and DJ Craig Hollywood.
Get together the six greatest music nerds you know, study up on pop culture, and get ready for a night of laughs, musical enlightenment and plenty of ah-ha’s!
A one-night-only local super group will play live – comprised of Ben McDonald of Sonpsilo Circus and Sugarpuss, Malcolm Clark of the Sleepy Jackson who now runs YoYo recording studio, Ben Witt from The Chemist and Jamie Terry of The Silents and Pond – to further test and tantalise your music smarts.
Plus! Film aficionados Simon Miraudo, Tristan Fidler and Paul Grace will present two special rounds to test your cult and B-movie IQ, and film soundtrack savviness, plus an all things Artbeat round from presenters Rhian Todhunter and James Hall.
Make a night of it! BYO Food is permitted so pack a sustenance-fuelled picnic for your teammates. BYO Alcohol is not allowed – but a cash bar will be operating on the night. There will be huge prizes awarded to the Champion Team, as well as bragging rights and ultimate geek respect from Breakfast With Barr presenter and MC, Peter Barr.
