Bicentenary or Bust – A Moorditj Mag Podcast Ep. 2

Welcome to a special Moorditj Mag series we’re calling BICENTENARY OR BUST.

Throughout the month of May in 2026, we’re reflecting on the 1826 invasion of what’s now known as Albany. This year marks two centuries of grief for WA’s Aboriginal peoples. It was the colonial settlements in Albany that paved the way to the establishment of the 1929 Swan River Colony in Boorloo, Perth.

This second instalment features hosts Jim Morrison and Tony Hansen in conversation with Nyoongar woman Jade Thompson of Reconciliation WA, one of the drivers of place-based RAP in Menang (Albany) country. Then, Jim yarns with Sherri Bagshaw, Healing Center Manager for stolen generation mob at Sister Kate’s.

Produced with the assistance of the Community Broadcasting Foundation. Find out more at cbf.org.au.
