Bicentenary or Bust – A Moorditj Mag Podcast Ep. 3

Welcome to a special Moorditj Mag series we’re calling BICENTENARY OR BUST.

Throughout the month of May in 2026, we’re reflecting on the 1826 invasion of what’s now known as Albany. This year marks two centuries of grief for WA’s Aboriginal peoples. It was the colonial settlements in Albany that paved the way to the establishment of the 1929 Swan River Colony in Boorloo, Perth.

This third instalment features hosts Jim Morrison and Tony Hansen in conversation with Reconciliation WA chief executive officer Jody Nunn and colleague Levi Islam about plans for National Reconciliation Week 2026.

Then, they chat with former Australian rules footballer and current development coach at the Fremantle Dockers, Roger Hayden, all about the upcoming Sir Doug Nicholls Round in the AFL fixture, and the role it plays in reconciliation.
