Get to know Andre

I have come across RTRfm by randomly browsing through radio stations whilst driving yet I would always end up back here. The first show to catch my attention was Giant Steps. I am fascinated by stories, hence virtually every show I am part of has a theme.

How did you become involved in the station?

I was being interviewed by my mate Glaucio Neto regarding an indigenous band I take part of as a session musician and I couldnt help but to get involved. The music is great and the people are genuinely nice.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

It is hard to pick one yet the last gig I have seen that left me in awe was Caetano Veloso in Brazil (early 2024). i was lucky enough to play a couple of times in Christmas Island, the last one had General Justice and Mumma Trees as MCs, so it needs to be one of my favourites. 🙂

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Giant Steps, Jamdown Vershum and El Ritmo.
