Get to know PTMC

Born here in Boorloo/Perth, I wear a lot of musical hats – composer, producer, radio presenter/DJ, label director, event coordinator and performer. I love to share music in any way that I can, and I’m passionate about alternative sounds (particularly if they’re from our backyard). The Boorloo/Perth dance music community means a lot to me, I make music as PTMC and co-ordinate the Midnight Elevator label; a label created to showcase the talent of local electronic artists. I studied composition and music technology at uni, and use that knowledge to compose for theatre, contemporary dance etc.

I love playing the most interesting, rare and exciting music with our listeners. RTRfm listeners and presenters have such amazing, eclectic taste and I’m all about it.

How did you become involved in the station?

I’d been a long time listener for a good decade before being encouraged to do the presenter course by some DJ friends. Did my first up-late show and loved every moment on air since.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Too many to mention! One that is coming to mind right now is the first time I played the Connections main room for Outer Body. I’ve loved dancing in that room for so many years so it was an absolute pleasure to play there, supporting Roza Terenzi (a boorloo/perth born icon). Beamhacker had done this amazing lazer installation and it was wild!
