‘Best of 2019 Awards’ with Special Guest Janice Loreck (Movie Squad Podcast #29)

Monday 16th December / presented by Simon Miraudo Tristan Fidler

So long, SAG Awards. Get outta here, BAFTAS. And don't you dare bring your DGAs near us. There's only one ceremony that matters around this time of year, and it's the 2nd Annual 'Best of 2019' Movie Squad Awards! Simon Miraudo, Tristan Fidler and special guest Janice Loreck look back on the year in cinema by handing out such coveted prizes as 'Weirdest Sex Scene', 'Most Interesting Accent Choice', 'Best Ending', 'Best Dance Scene' and fan favourite categories 'Best Best Friend' and 'Worst Best Friend'. They also finally close the book on the Marvel v. Marty debate with the climactic crowning achievement: the Martin Scorsese Memorial Award for Most Cinematic Superhero Movie. Hey, it's just an honour to be nominated.

Thanks to everyone for listening to us throughout 2019! This episode finally marks the end of our podcast's first season, so we'll be back in the new year after a much needed break. (Yes, people who only watch movies for a living deserve breaks too.)
