Census 2021: Building An Accurate Picture Of Australia During The Pandemic

Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows families with young children are flocking into WA from the Eastern States at the fastest rates since 2012 during the mining boom.

That comes ahead of Australia’s next national Census on August 10, which will gather data to inform important planning decisions that are even more crucial as the nation attempts to recover from the COVID pandemic.

Jeff Bullen spoke to demographer Associate Professor Tod Jones, from Curtin’s School of Design and the Built Environment, about the importance of the Census for developing an accurate picture of Australia.
