Dr Kathryn Taylor speaks about the intrinsic link between homelessness and trauma

Recent studies show the intrinsic link between homelessness and trauma.

Dr Kathryn Taylor, a clinical psychologist who recently completed a PhD in Health Sciences at Swinburne University undertook a study in Melbourne exploring chronic homelessness and the reasons behind this, with 94% of interviewees having experienced some form of trauma. Through looking at these findings, Dr Kathryn Taylor hopes to de-stigmatize homelessness and develop new services to help with trauma and mental health.
