Noise, joy and friendship; Body Type embrace controlled chaos with their latest LP Expired Candy

Eora/Sydney band Body Type have released their sophomore album Expired Candy, an exuberant post-punk take on contemporary guitar-pop that sees the band cement their sound and style.

The largely WA-born but New South Wales-based four-piece have had a busy two years, releasing their debut album Everything Is Dangerous but Nothing’s Surprising and touring Australia with indie-rock icons The Pixies.

Expired Candy sees the band revel in the space they’ve carved out in the Australian music world, expanding their sound and focusing on making music that is as caustic and poignant as it is catchy.

Sophie, Cecil, Annabel and Georgia joined RTRFM’s Matt Perrett on Out to Lunch prior to the album’s June 2 release to chat about Expired Candy and what that band’s future plans are.

The band will make their way back to Boorloo for a show at The Rechabite on September 1 supported by Paint.
