2022 was a year of transition in music — canonised artists found new identities and progressive sounds, experimentation and exciting takes on genre tropes by emerging artists got its time in the limelight and the music industry, both locally and internationally, slowly emerged from literal and figurative isolation.
Summing up the year in music is a herculean task and arranging the sounds that defined the Sound Alternative in neat lists is an undertaking that is even more difficult.
