Science With Commander Kat

09/12/2021 Commander Kat teams up with Taylah from Breakfast once again for another weekly recap involving all things science both locally and around the world.

Part One begins by delving into all things related to space. More specifically when it comes to cultivating Chile Peppers onboard the ISS (International Space Station), and how the senses of taste and smell can be temporarily affected living within microgravity. Along the way, Taylah and Commander Kat rekindle the astronomical Planetary Alignment that Western Australians were treated to earlier in the week.

Part Two deviates into the realm of Binge Watching Television, and whether it is considered as an addiction in correlation to the rise and proliferation of streaming services over recent years. Lastly, both Taylah and Commander Kat conduct analysis over why the rocket launch from the upcoming “Lightyear” (Toy Story animated spinoff) looks more appealing than a real rocket blasting off into space.
