Taylah Strano introduces RTRFM’s new Brekky host Pamela Boland 

RTRFM’s award-winning Breakfast presenter Taylah Strano signed off for the final time this morning (and we all had a bit of a cry), but not before introducing us to the person who’ll be stepping into her shoes.

At an intimate farewell broadcast from the station’s green room, Taylah welcomed RTRFM’s next Breakfast presenter: Pamela Boland.

“I’m pretty stressed, they’re pretty big shoes,” Pamela said on air.

Pam will be familiar to listeners as the current host of Thursday’s On the Record. She brings to Brekky a wealth of experience, a sparkling personality and a willingness to wake-up at 4am every weekday morning, and will be a wonderful addition to the station’s storied history of morning hosts.

“I’ve told people for the last five years when they’ve asked me about this job, every time I’ve said enthusiastically, ‘It’s the best job in Perth,'” Taylah said.

“I’m so excited you get to do it.”

Breakfast with Pam officially begins Monday 17 July, but Pam is already practicing for the early wake-ups.

“I got up at four this morning and I immediately went back to sleep.”

She also shared her hopes for the new shift: “RTRFM’s so special. It’s that really pure celebration of arts and culture and Perth. I’m really excited to be a part of it and platform those voices.”
