Warwick Thornton’s Sweet Country

The Northern Territory outback in 1929. On the surface it seems like a totally different Australia… Or is it?

It’s the setting of Sweet Country: the new film from award-winning director Warwick Thornton.

It follows Aboriginal stockman Sam Kelly, played by Hamilton Morris, who goes on the run after the killing of a white station owner.

It’s inspired by real events and Warwick dropped into Breakfast with Caitlin to delve deep into this very important story.
