Golden Apples of the Sun

The Golden Apples of the Sun is your Sunday afternoon musical mind-excursion.

Each week different presenters curate unique personal journeys through psych-tinged realms, pastoral folk, glitch, lo-fi electronica, hauntology and hypnagogic pop.

Enjoy finding yourself transported to a world beyond time, where the past and future intermingle in sun-dappled hallucinogenic soundscapes of strange and beautiful music.

Episode recap

"When the winds of change blow, some people build walls and others build windmills..."

As the solstice turns us towards shorter days and new horizons, we are thinking about the invisible strings of time and fate. Maya Angelou reminds us: we didn't come to this Earth to stay, but rather to fly upon the winds of change with attention and braveness (or at least bravado).

Lyndon Blue and guest co-host Julia Suddenly (Naarm / Spice World) present two hours of fluttering and tidal ambience, from Ethiopian keys to pearls from our local seas - with speculative languages, simmering percussion and gossamer melodies along the way.
